Visit Louisiana Coast!

The Louisiana Coastline is one of the most unique, most important, and one of the most vulnerable coastlines in the US. It’s also one of the most abundant areas for two of the three most important seafoods in the US; Shrimp and Oysters (Crawfish is the third).
With unity comes strength and the 10 Parish coastal region has a lot to talk about. Where can you get the best oysters in the world? The Louisiana Coast. Where can you find the best Shrimp in the world? The Louisiana Coast. Where can you find one of the widest varieties of wildlife in the US? The Louisiana Coast.
Here are just a few things that you can do on the Louisiana Coast:

Explore the most wondrous waters of the world for fishing. Louisiana’s 3,000 miles of shoreline give even the most avid fisherman an unrivaled experience. The lakes, marshes, and gulf waters of the coast offer some of the most liberal catch limits in the country, meaning anglers can collect more fish than in any other place in the continental United States.
Whether cruising down a bayou led by a guide who chronicles folklore and history, or heading out for an exhilarating offshore charter boat adventure, anglers are invited to the thrill of Louisiana fishing. Red snapper, lemon fish, grouper, blue marlin, yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna, cobia, wahoo, amberjack, king mackerel, redfish and speckled trout are among the fish caught in these waters.

Louisiana is called Sportsman's Paradise for a reason. Our state has the best fishing in the world and the good news is you can catch fish in Louisiana 365 days a year and with our liberal limits there will be plenty for you to bring home.

Located on the majestic Mississippi Flyway, the Louisiana Coast is home to some of the most awe-inspiring birds in the country. Over 400 different species of birds visit Louisiana each year making it one of the nation’s top destinations for bird enthusiasts. With birding trails across the Louisiana coastline, there are plenty of opportunities to view the abundant wildlife throughout the Louisiana coastal region. Experience why the productive natural environment of the Great Gulf Coast offers ready access to some of the best birding in the country.

Biking and Hiking

The Louisiana Coast is home to 13 biking trails. It's hard to imagine a better way to enjoy the beautiful and unusual landscapes of Louisiana than by touring the Coast up-close and personal. An array of routes, from lightly traveled, paved rural roads to challenging mountain-biking trails to easy, leisurely paths through Louisiana's state parks are ready for your adventure. Our mild climate allows for great biking at almost any time of the year. And once all that biking works up a hunger, set out on a culinary trail that will bring Louisiana into your soul.

The waterways along or near the Louisiana Coast are a haven for all types of boating. From canoeing to sailing, to pirogueing to speed boating … water sports are a Louisiana pastime for all ages. Louisiana is home to lakes, streams, rivers, bayous, canals, coulees, swamps, marshes, and water prairies and wetlands. Here you can blaze through the swamps on airboat, or meander through the bayou on flatboat. In Louisiana, water is everywhere. So if venturing into the outdoors on water is your perfect getaway, there's no place more perfect than the Louisiana Coast.
