Planning Your Visit to Oak Alley Plantation
- We recommend purchasing Oak Alley Plantation tickets online in advance.
- Arrive at the ticket booth 30 minutes prior to your “Big House” tour and allow 30 minutes for the guided mansion tour.
- The historic site is entirely accessible except for the 2nd floor of the “Big House.” A video tour is available for guests who are unable to climb the 22 stairs to the upper floor.
- Allow at least 2 hours for the self-guided tour of the plantation grounds, slavery exhibit, as well as various other exhibits and points of interest.
- Service animals are permitted, but pets are not allowed on the property.
