Hundreds of wooden boats line the shore of the Tchefuncte River each October for the Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival, the largest gathering of watercraft on the Gulf Coast. In November, walk the quaint streets in downtown during the annual Covington Three Rivers Art Festival, a juried show and arts mall comprised of talented artists from around the region. Spicy seafood is served in Slidell during the St. Tammany Crab Festival in September and April’s All You Can Eat Crawfish Cook-off.
