3rd Annual Gospel Explosion at the Westbank Heritage Food & Music Festival
Sep 22, 2024

The Westbank Heritage Food and Music Festival is thrilled to announce a glorious Gospel Explosion set to take place Sunday, September 22, 2024 inside the Alario Center, 2000 Segnette Blvd. in Westwego, LA. The event will run from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., concurrent with the main festival that will be staged outdoors at Segnette Field Sept. 21 - 22. This event promises to uplift and inspire with powerful performances from renowned gospel artists and local choirs. One of the highlights of the Gospel Explosion will be the beloved Choir Rehearsal with Friends experience where audience members are invited to sing along to their favorite choir songs. Under the expert guidance of the talented choir director, Will Johnson, participants will have the unique opportunity to harmonize and learn new vocal techniques in a fun and engaging environment. Kim Che’re and Arthur Clayton & Anointed for Purpose are among the featured gospel musicians scheduled to perform. Adding to the rich tapestry of gospel music that attendees will experience, the Gospel Explosion will also showcase the harmonious voices of the Morning Star Baptist Church Mass Choir, Franklin Avenue Baptist Church Choir, Westside Mass Choir, and Cotton Melody Productions. The Gospel Explosion is part of the larger Westbank Heritage Food and Music Festival, which celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Westbank of Jefferson Parish. More Info
